In this class I guide you through the gentler side of somatic release practice with a variety of yoga poses and less traditional movement patterns. It’s great for any time you have pent up energy in your body, maybe through a period of stress or change, or if you just feel like you’ve been stuck in mental loops. Honestly, these movements have been helping me so much lately as I navigate my own big life events, and I hope they help you too.

You will need one or two yoga blocks. You will also need either a Pilates ball or a cushion / folded up blanket. Optionally, if you have massage balls we will have one chance to use them towards the end.

Join me for almost an hour of mindful opening of the whole body, with simple postures to improve flexibility and mobility throughout the system. Stretch your body and breath, and leave the mat feeling refreshed. Truly all levels friendly, with modifications to level up or down with or without props. Optional Props: 2 yoga blocks

In this video I talk the ins-and-outs of YOGA PROPS! What do you really need for yoga practice? What is worth investing real money in, and what is totally fine to go with the cheaper option? What props are better for different styles of practice? What yoga toys look fun, but are really unnecessary? I dive into all of this and more in this 30 minute chat video. Hilariously, I forgot to mention one of the most important props: a yoga strap! I don't discuss this with the other 2 essential props I mention, but take it from me here: you want a yoga strap. It doesn't matter what kind, you can get the cheapest one you can find even. Besides that silly miss, this is a very thorough exploration of yoga props and toys.
