This class is no-fuss, yet so lush. Join me for a simple, grounding, yet juicy Yin Yoga session where I offer a couple of opportunities to bring in some Myofascial Release. If you have been busy and your mind has been a monkey, if your body is feeling a bit sticky, or you just want to get your chill on: this class might be just what you need.

Needed props: two yoga blocks and a bloster or pillow / thickly folded blanket(s).

Optional (but highly recommend) props: massage balls, or tennis balls, or a thick pair of wool socks balled up.

Vinyasa, Spring Season Yoga + Reflection

This is one of my favorite flow sequences I have been playing with in my own practice, so I thought I'd make it into a class for my Vinyasa lovers! I call this class most levels friendly, with the understanding that Vinyasa is, by nature, at moments a bit quick in pace. If you are brand new to yoga, this might be one you come to after doing a few other level 1 Vinyasa classes first. As always, modify up or down as you see fit. We do explore challenging poses and unique transitions, but no arm balancing. The whole body gets a yummy rinse, we generate some heat, and we prioritze finding a playful, sweet, expansive Springtime energy within. We close with a lovely restorative pose for Savasana (which you will need a blanket roll for), featuring Dante! I hope you have as much fun with this one as I did.

What props are better for different styles of practice? What yoga toys look fun, but are really unnecessary? I dive into all of this and more in this 30 minute chat video. Hilariously, I forgot to mention one of the most important props: a yoga strap! I don't discuss this with the other 2 essential props I mention, but take it from me here: you want a yoga strap. It doesn't matter what kind, you can get the cheapest one you can find even. Besides that silly miss, this is a very thorough exploration of yoga props and toys.
