My Yoga Story
There is so much I could say about my yoga journey. I used to say that I came to yoga – but I’ve learned over the years that yoga really found me. I owe everything to this practice, and to this path of teaching it to others.
Before yoga, I spent a lifetime as an artist and years as a long distance runner. After a running injury, I was introduced to yoga. I was amazed at the expansive feeling in my heart from my first practice. I was hooked, and spent the following five years immersing myself in home practice, a little bit of Ashtanga yoga with Troy Lucero, and ultimately found my home with my teacher, Greta Hill from the Tantric school of Rasa Yoga. When I dove deep into Tantric yoga, I felt what my teacher Greta calls a “full body yes”: an undeniable resonance and pull towards this unique way of approaching the practice. This became the ground I built my path of teaching upon.
I took my 200 hour teacher training with Greta Hill in 2018 and started teaching in 2019. Since then, I have moved across the world to beautiful Groningen, completed my MFA in painting, and been lucky enough to grow a yoga community beyond my dreams both online in my membership, and in person at Open Yoga in Groningen.
my hope is to help my students realize their body and their breath are worthy of care, respect, and celebration. My vision is to spread the power of kindness through the practice of yoga, to make this world a sweeter place.
The Heart of Tantra: Radical Embrace
The teachings of Tantra are infused in all of my classes, which, in essence, is about helping us remember who we are and showing us how to radically embrace all of it: the easy bits and the not-so-easy-bits. This core teaching of Tantra has been beneficial for not just my yoga journey, but also deeply healing for myself and my students on a more personal level. Tantra encourages us to savor every flavor of this life, to recognize that the contrast of flavors is what makes life beautiful. Being open to ourselves being multi-dimensional not only offers ourselves more ease to experience the radiance of life, but it also helps us be more compassionate to each other and help make this world a better place.
In true Tantric fashion, I eventually found my asana, meditation, and artistic practices merging their way towards each other until one day I realized: these are all one practice. One practice of connection, remembrance, and calling the sacred back home. I am multifaceted, and so are my teachings. I want to invite you on a path where you, too, can give yourself permission to be multi-faceted.

My Intentions As a Teacher
Following this embrace of being multi-faceted, you can expect a range of styles in my classes. Sometimes I enjoy offering slow, savory, simple pose practice intended to provide nourishment. Other times, I like to invite my students into intense challenge through spicy flows and pose families like hand balancing and backbends. No matter the style of the practice, my hope is to help my students realize their body and their breath are worthy of care, respect, and celebration. My vision is to spread the power of kindness through the practice of yoga, to make this world a sweeter place.
